How to Play Zmey Gorynych Royal

You are a snake in a shrinking winter arena. Eat, grow, hunt, and be the last one alive.

The goal

Every match drops several snakes into an icy arena. Your job is simple: grow bigger than every other snake, then survive until the arena closes and they fall. The last snake standing wins the round.

You grow by eating treats, and you can only eat snakes that are smaller than you. Bigger snakes are a danger — avoid them or you become their meal.

Controls

Mouse (desktop)

Move the mouse to steer your snake.
Hold the left mouse button to boost.

Keyboard (desktop)

WASD or the arrow keys steer.
Hold Space to boost.
P or Escape pauses.

Touch (mobile)

Drag anywhere to steer.
Hold the BOOST button to accelerate.

Tip: boosting costs a little of your own length, so use it to escape danger or to catch prey — not to wander.

Growing

Collect the glowing treats scattered across the snowfield.
Each treat adds mass and makes your snake longer.
Longer snakes are harder to eat and give you a damage advantage in a tussle.

Attacking smaller snakes

You can only eat a snake smaller than you (check the size difference).
Drive the front of your body into a smaller snake to start eating it.
Each kill adds a big chunk of mass and help the scoreboard.

Avoiding larger snakes

If a bigger snake touches you, you take damage and can be eaten.
Turn away early — don't let a larger snake line you up.
Use the boost to break away, but be careful you don't run into the wall.

Surviving the arena

The glowing ring closes over time.
If you touch the ring, you burn and lose mass fast.
Plan your path so you're never trapped on the edge when it tightens.

Tip: keep one eye on the ring. The best players stay near the centre until the end, then use their length to dominate the final space.

Power-ups & modifiers

Occasionally the match throws in power-ups — shields, speed boosts, magnets that pull food in, ghost form that lets you pass through others, and frenzies. Grab them when they appear. Some rounds also include special modifiers that change the food, speed or ring behaviour.

Your progress

Coins you earn unlock skins in the shop. Your best length, kills, coins and chosen skin are saved automatically in your browser, so you can come back and keep going on the same device.
